How Your Child Tries to Make Sense of the Real World
In trying to understand how the world works, children on the autism spectrum attempt to make sense of the parent’s explanations, but sometimes are not able to fully - or even partially - grasp what the parent is trying to convey. As a result, the parent’s effort at intervening or providing instruction may fall short.
